I am particularly experienced with AQA exam board and have experience teaching catch up lessons to year 12 A-Level maths students. I believe the ‘watch one, do one, teach one’ is particularly effective when mastering foundation skills and moving onto more challenging questions especially in Maths since practice is crucial to understanding. However, I am adaptable and I understand that not every student has the same learning method, I am patient and willing to take on board whatever role you need in a teacher in order for you to achieve your goals. I like to do a lot of whiteboard work when tutoring but I find the ‘teach one’ aspect of my method is best done written in your notes so that you have work to look back on. I’m keen to teach KS2-KS4 Maths with a focus on GCSE’s so that I can have the opportunity to gain more experience teaching content.
