I don't have much experience, but I would love to start teaching children and gain work experience by teaching a subject I thoroughly enjoy as an A-Level student. I am offering private lessons to anyone in secondary school. I accept any year groups and offer to help boost your knowledge.

My lesson will typically start off with a recap, where we will go through any knowledge we already know. Next, for Language, I will dive into how each question in an exam should be answered, going through structure as well as what you should and shouldn't include in each question. If a student needs help, I will make sure to simplify it in a way it can be understood. For Literature, I would alternatively go through the context of the text we're studying (e.g Macbeth, Jekyll and Hyde). This allows the student to get a deeper insight on what the text is about and gives them something to link it to for more marks. After that, depending on what question we're focusing on for the lesson, I will go through general information about it: how many marks are awarded, what assessment objectives should be emphasised, how long you should spend on it. Then, I will help the student write a practice answer to the question we are focused on. I will then allow them to write another paragraph on their own. Finally, we will go through the plenary and summarise what we learnt as well as addressing any misconceptions during the lesson.
