I’ve always liked math. I really enjoy doing it and I knew that I could teach it. I like working with kids and I figured I could make a career out of it. I knew I didn’t want to teach elementary school because I didn’t want to be responsible for teaching all the subjects. Math is what I feel comfortable with, so teaching kids was perfect for me. That is why, I will definitely use the modern teaching to my fellow students for them not feel bored on what I am discussing.
For some students, seeing is believing. So a visual representations of new ideas can help them develop deep understanding and even use a different part of their brain. Additionally, anchor charts around the classroom can help my students understand the basics of a new unit, while word walls can help build vocabulary skills.
Moreover, I will make them practice different ways of showing numbers with a ten frame, pictures, or number lines. And I will also explain the concepts like multiplication and long division with buttons, blocks or other small items.
Furthermore, every kid loves to play, so I will harness that power with math games! Virtual games are a great way to engage students and give them an active learning experience. And for more virtual classroom fun, incorporate digital game-based learning tools like Prodigy Math Game is perfectly fine which inspired by the video games and fantasy adventures that my students will love, I know this prodigy turns math class into an adventure filled with epic quests, exciting rewards and more ways to love learning math.
