I am a professional Graphic Designer /Creative artworker with over 20 years industry experience working in a variety of design studios and on multiple different projects, creating and producing finished artworks in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and Indesign. From my initial first employment back in 2001 through to today I have been in consistent employment and worked on many projects. From brochures, flyers and leaflets, to designing logos, emails, web pages and animated banners and social posts. I have a BA Hons in Graphic Communicaton and prior to that completed a Btec National diploma in Graphic Design and two City and Guilds in desk top publishing. From leaving University in 2001 with my education as my only experience, I have been fortunate to have worked with many experienced colleagues who have helped me over the years gain more and more experience, attended training where needed and visited many print companies to see final work in production, I have also passed my knowledge onto more junior designers and helped them to grow. As a designer I realise it is difficult to get relevant experience and find relevant training to specific requirements that you may have. Each upcoming designer has their own specific needs and projects that they wish to pursue, which may not be fulfilled by generic courses which have already been set. Instead I can offer to tailor lessons to your own specific needs after an initial consultation with you to explore your requirements and whether I can be of help. Whether you are a student wanting to progress your skills in design programmes, and get instruction / advice from a professional designer, or someone looking to learn how to produce graphic design projects as a new hobby, I can work with you to show you how to complete your projects, either from scratch, or taking existing projects through to a profession level as required for how they would need to be should you be working for a client / company. ??I can work at your own pace, showing you how to use and explain how to set up your projects in the relevant programs (which you would need to have) and answer any questions that you have or go through any challenges that you may face. If you are a student looking to gain work experience, I can set you a project which you can work on yourself and arrange a schedule to present to me and go through your ideas and talk throughout the project as you would in a job, from concepts to final artwork and check your files for accuracy etc, going through any required amends etc (if needed). At the end of your course with me I would be happy to provide a personalised report of the work we have covered, skills you have and any new skills you have achieved. Whether it is a series of lessons that you feel you require, or just a one off to go through an existing project at college/university/work and need some help/advice with how to do something that you are struggling with. I am more than happy to work with you to find the correct solution, it is something that I am passionate about in helping the future generation of upcoming designers / people looking to further develop themselves, gain the skills they need from talking to a designer who has worked in the industry, as I had the benefit of, instead of watching numerous online tutorials to find what you need.
