I have studied Japanese for a long time and always felt it was taught to me in a very inefficient way. I studied international relations and Japanese studies at Oxford Brookes. I also have a passion for the English Language and have taught English in Japan and Kenya. I believe this understanding of English only supplements my Japanese teaching ability.

Essentially i have been where you guys have been before... trying to learn one of the hardest Languages in the world (for a native English speakers) and not seeing much progress. I believe i can catapult your Japanese language acquisition by using my methods.

I teach beginner level Japanese in a friendly and relaxed manner. I believe using the language through conversation is the quickest way to gain understanding. I know countless classmates and Students i studied with at University who knew up to JLPT N1 level Kanji but could not have conversation with a Japanese person. This always bewildered me as i think conversation should be majored on first and once a basic level is achieved to then move on to reading and writing. I also see the reverse of this in Japan. A large majority of the Japanese students i teach have amazing written English and handwriting neater than mine ! However, they cannot understand basic level speech. I will get you to a point where you will have practical spoken Japanese that can be utilised almost immediately.
