My lessons always begin with a free, one-hour introductory meeting where we discuss your objectives, learning style, and what you’d like to achieve. This session helps me understand where you’re starting from and how I can best support you in reaching your goals.

My lessons always begin with a free, one-hour introductory meeting where we discuss your objectives, learning style, and what you’d like to achieve. This session helps me understand where you’re starting from and how I can best support you in reaching your goals.
After that, I’ll design a personalised learning plan tailored specifically to you. We’ll focus on the areas you’d most like to develop, working through examples and problems together in lessons, or — if you prefer — I can set structured tasks for you to complete in your own time. This flexible approach allows you to learn at your own pace while building both skill and confidence.
My main aim is to help you feel comfortable and capable with maths. Whether you’re preparing for exams or just looking to strengthen your understanding, I focus on ensuring you truly understand the material — not just how to get the right answer, but why it works.
I adapt every lesson to the individual, making the most of the one-to-one setting to create an engaging and supportive environment. I take real pride in helping students overcome their fear of maths and start to enjoy it. For example, one of my recent students is passionate about cats, so I created cat-themed worksheets covering everything from algebra to probability. Relating maths to real life and personal interests makes it both accessible and fun!
In terms of my background, I achieved top grades in both GCSE and AO Maths, as well as in A Level Economics, before earning an Honours degree in Economics from a Russell Group university. Since then, I’ve built a varied professional career spanning communications, finance, and law — qualifying as a Solicitor and specialising in financial law. These experiences have given me a practical understanding of how maths and logical thinking underpin real-world decision-making, from analysing data to solving complex financial problems.
Outside of teaching, I’m also a qualified Cricket Scorer for one of the 18 professional Counties in England and Wales. That role has strengthened my analytical and numerical skills — and, much like tutoring, it requires precision, patience, and a clear head for numbers!
Overall, my lessons are interactive, tailored, and designed to build your confidence step by step. My goal is simple: to make Maths something you can not only understand, but actually enjoy.
