My name is Dr. Michael Omakobia, I am an Oxford Ubiversity graduate with a passion for science and mathematics, I believe that learning should be an epic adventure—filled with creativity, excitement, and discovery. My mission is to transform how students perceive these subjects, making them not just accessible but genuinely inspiring.

My Approach and Techniques:

Building Deep Conceptual Understanding: I start by ensuring students grasp why concepts work, using clear explanations, analogies, and visual aids like diagrams and flowcharts. This foundation empowers them to approach problems confidently and insightfully.

Engaging and Interactive Methods: To make learning fun and memorable, I incorporate technology, virtual simulations, and real-world applications. For example, in physics, I demonstrate principles through experiments or animations that bring theories to life.

Creative and Unique Teaching Styles:
Music and Fun: I enjoy making Maths and Science exciting through rap music. I’ve created energetic rap videos to help students remember formulas and key concepts. For instance, my “Dividing Fractions” video begins with “KFC is the acronym in which dividing fractions is factored in...” — you can find it on YouTube!
Cartoon-Style Videos: I develop engaging cartoon videos that simplify complex ideas, making learning both entertaining and effective.

Systematic Problem Solving: I teach students how to approach questions methodically—breaking down problems, recognizing patterns, and applying logical reasoning. Techniques like working backwards or dimensional analysis are key parts of this process.

Personalized Learning: Recognizing that every student learns differently, I tailor lessons—whether through visual aids, hands-on experiments, or interactive quizzes—to match their strengths and needs.

Heartfelt Success Stories:

Candida shared, “Hi Michael, nice of you to ask. Hen did so well—8 9s in total across all 3 sciences and Maths. Thanks for your help!”
Malakia said, “Hi Michael, results as promised—Kamau got a 7 in Maths and a 6 in Physics. Thank you so much for being part of his recovery journey. You are an awesome soul and made such a positive difference to his outcomes. Now he has choices! ?? Take care and stay safe. God bless!”

These stories are a testament to the tangible impact of personalized, creative tutoring. Seeing my students thrive and gain confidence is what drives me every day.

My Vision:

My ultimate goal is to ignite a lifelong passion for science and maths—transforming students into confident thinkers, problem-solvers, and innovators. I want them to see these subjects as powerful tools to explore the world and unlock their potential.

In essence, my tutoring combines rigorous academic strategies with fun, innovative methods—making learning an epic, energetic journey. Whether through rap, cartoons, or tailored problem-solving, I aim to inspire students to love science and maths just as much as I do.
