Michael Feeney

Teaching has been a core part of my working life for over five years. I spent five years as a university tutor at Dublin City University, working with Communication, Journalism, and Multimedia students from first year through to Master’s level. My role covered lectures, one-to-one mentoring, assessment support, and helping students develop the confidence to communicate clearly in academic and professional settings — including support for students with different learning needs.
Alongside teaching, I’ve spent years working in international digital media and remote team environments, so I bring real, practical experience of professional communication across cultures, not just theory. I’ve coordinated distributed teams, presented to large audiences, and helped people from many different backgrounds express themselves clearly, whether that’s for an interview, a presentation, a thesis, or everyday professional English.
My teaching style is personalized and practical. I start by listening to understand your specific goals and current level, then build lessons around real situations you’ll actually face — interviews, presentations, written work, or conversation confidence. I keep sessions supportive and constructive, so you’re building skills and confidence at the same time, not just correcting mistakes.
I’m patient, adaptable, and genuinely enjoy watching a student’s confidence grow session by session.
