Hi, I'm Micah and I'm a Master's student in mechanical engineering at the University of Manchester. I am (more so than I'd like) familiar with the feeling of being confused and intimidated by my schoolwork. In secondary school, I routinely struggled to get the marks required to apply for undergraduate engineering programmes across the UK. My teachers gave me pieces to the puzzle of any particular subject, but I couldn't see the bigger picture. Only through the careful guidance and undivided attention of a private tutor was I able to begin to understand how the pieces fit together. All this to say - I know from personal experience that having a mentor is crucial to building the confidence and skills to move forward past tough academic hurdles. Six years ago, I decided to help students like myself for whom a traditional classroom environment simply doesn't work. I have since learned much about the variety of individual needs and learning styles affecting both a student's propensity and enthusiasm for school, and I use my experience to extend the same helping hand to you that uplifted me and brought me closer to my dreams.
