Hello! My name is Mia, and I’m a student teacher currently completing my PGCE in Primary Education. I’m on track to graduate at the end of this academic year and am now offering private tutoring over the summer to support pupils ahead of the new school term.
Through my university studies and previous degree in Education, I have gained extensive hands-on experience across a variety of educational settings. This has not only prepared me for a future career in the classroom, but also equipped me with the skills and confidence to support children effectively as a tutor. I am confident in planning, preparing, and adapting lessons to meet individual needs — ensuring each child receives the personalised support they need to thrive.
I’m passionate about helping children develop confidence and perseverance in their learning. I adapt my teaching approach to suit each individual student—ensuring sessions are not only effective but also engaging and supportive. Whether your child needs help with reading and literacy, maths, or preparation for upcoming assessments, I’m here to help them grow at their own pace.
Kindness is at the heart of my teaching philosophy. I believe in creating a warm, patient, and encouraging environment where every child feels safe to make mistakes, ask questions, and keep trying. My previous experience as a Learning Support Assistant has equipped me with the skills to work closely with children across a wide range of needs and ability levels.
If you’re looking for a tutor who will tailor sessions to your child’s needs and celebrate their progress every step of the way, I’d love to hear from you!
