Mia Borrett

My name is Mia, and I’m an online tutor specializing in Maths, English, and Art for young learners. I offer fully remote, flexible lessons through platforms such as Zoom and Google Classroom, making it easy to fit sessions around your family’s schedule.

My teaching approach is personalized to each child’s unique learning style. Every student learns differently — some thrive with visuals, others prefer hands-on activities, and some enjoy listening and discussing ideas. I take time to understand what works best for each learner and tailor every lesson to help them feel confident and engaged.

My goal is to create a relaxed, supportive environment where students can enjoy learning and feel proud of their progress. I believe education should be fun, flexible, and encouraging, helping each child build skills that last a lifetime.

I am happy to vary session lengths depending on what each child needs.

I’m especially passionate in teaching art and creative expression. My art lessons range from exploring art history and the lives of famous artists to fun, affordable, hands-on projects where we experiment with different mediums and techniques. Whether we’re studying Van Gogh’s vibrant brushstrokes or creating our own colourful masterpieces, I aim to make art both educational and joyful — a space where imagination can truly flourish. I am to study what is truly interesting to my student, for repeating lessons i wpuld check in regularly and ask if there is any specific artist or era of art that interests them, that theyd like to know more about, planning my lessons around their own interests. Encouraging their own passions and creativity.
