I hope that the first few lessons would be used to discover the strengths/weaknesses and aims of my students. This would allow me to effectively tailor my lessons in order to accommodate their needs. Mini assignments and quizzes will be issued in order to encourage self-learning and motivation in my students. I hope my students would be comfortable enough to share their concerns and areas that they would like to improve on, in order for me to better understand how to tackle the weak areas. In order to grow their interest in the subject, I would like to introduce materials relating to the English language, which can be incorporated in an engaging way into class materials and assignments. Besides purely focusing on the academic side of lessons, I wish to help my students with any queries relating to studies or coping with time management. This would also allow me to understand the workload that each student is able to handle to ensure that lessons would not be overburdening them, but rather doing them well. I hope students will come out of the lessons with a newfound passion for English and the determination and confidence to use English in conversations and in tackling exams. I believe that I am a firm but welcoming teacher, and am confident in creating a supportive and comfortable learning environment for my students. Together, I would like to celebrate the successes and achievements that I hope my students will face in their academic journey, and show genuine interest and enthusiasm throughout the learning process.
