My classes are based on natural conversation in a friendly, no-pressure environment. Every lesson includes a discussion topic tailored to your level and interests, helping you build fluency while improving your vocabulary, grammar, and pronunciation. If you'd like to prepare beforehand, I'm happy to send the lesson topic in advance.
Rather than interrupting you constantly, I'll make notes as you speak and give personalised feedback throughout the lesson, allowing you to communicate naturally while steadily improving your accuracy and confidence.
After each lesson, you'll receive a summary of what we've covered, including new vocabulary. I also offer optional homework, which I'll mark with feedback outside of lesson time, and you're always welcome to message me with any questions between lessons.
I currently volunteer teaching English to asylum seekers and refugees, helping learners from a range of backgrounds improve their communication skills and confidence.
I have experience teaching English as an au pair in Madrid, Spain, where I taught both a child and her parents.
I have also supported English learners through language exchange platforms such as Tandem and ConversationExchange.
I am currently working towards my TEFL qualification. I will start my CELTA course in September.
I hold an enhanced DBS certificate.
Having taught myself Spanish to an intermediate level and studied abroad in Spain for six months, I understand the challenges of learning a new language and can relate to the learning process from a student's perspective.
