My lessons are personalised to each student's individual needs, learning style and academic goals. Whether a student is preparing for the 11+, working towards GCSE examinations, or looking to strengthen their confidence in English or Maths, I create a supportive and structured learning environment where they can thrive.

At the start of tuition, I assess a student's strengths and areas for development to create a tailored learning plan. Lessons are carefully planned to build knowledge step by step, whilst regularly revisiting previous topics to reinforce understanding and retention.

For 11+ students, lessons may include comprehension, vocabulary development, creative writing, verbal reasoning, non-verbal reasoning, problem-solving and timed exam practice. I help students develop effective strategies and build the confidence needed to approach examinations calmly and successfully.

For GCSE English, lessons focus on developing analytical skills, essay writing, language and literature techniques, exam structure and revision strategies. Students learn how to interpret questions effectively and produce high-quality responses that meet examination criteria.

For GCSE Maths, lessons focus on strengthening mathematical understanding through clear explanations, worked examples, guided practice and exam-style questions. Students are encouraged to develop confidence in applying mathematical methods independently.

My teaching style is patient, encouraging and supportive. I believe students make the greatest progress when they feel comfortable asking questions and learning from mistakes. Lessons are interactive and engaging, with regular feedback provided to help students recognise their progress and identify areas for further development.

I have over eight years of tutoring experience supporting students across Key Stages 2, 3 and 4. My aim is not only to improve academic performance but also to help students become more confident, independent learners who feel capable of achieving their full potential.
