I believe that every student can achieve success when lessons are clear, engaging, and tailored to their needs. My tutoring style is interactive and supportive, with a strong focus on building confidence as well as subject knowledge.

I have over five years of tutoring experience in Singapore, where I taught Mathematics, Chemistry, and Physics to secondary school students following the Cambridge GCE O-Level and N-Level syllabuses. This background has given me a solid understanding of exam-focused learning and how to help students develop both conceptual understanding and effective problem-solving skills. These skills transfer well to the UK curriculum, particularly at GCSE level, where exam preparation and clear step-by-step explanations are key.

In a typical lesson, I begin with a short recap of prior learning before introducing new topics in a structured and accessible way. I use worked examples, guided practice, and questioning to check understanding, while encouraging students to think critically rather than just memorise. Lessons are paced according to the learner’s progress and can be adapted depending on whether the focus is revision, catching up on missed content, or preparing for upcoming assessments.

I also place strong emphasis on exam preparation by using past paper questions and targeted practice. Alongside subject knowledge, I encourage students to develop resilience, good study habits, and a growth mindset, helping them to feel more confident and motivated in their learning.

My aim is to make learning both effective and enjoyable, so that students not only improve their results but also feel proud of their progress.
