Mehnaz Bari

I am graduate masters students in Translational Neuroscience and have a bachelors degree in Neuroscience. I have always loved science and mathematics and they have always been my strongest points. I think it is so important to understand the human body and it's always exciting to learn new things about how we function and why things happen. Mathematics is key in all aspects of learning and having core mathematical skills is essential for future studies. I have a lot of experience revising and taking exams, and I have a lot of tips and tricks to get revise efficiently and achieving your full potential. I am also happy to share my experiences when it comes to applying to university and how to perfect your personal statement.
I have been tutoring for over a year and a half and my lessons are based on where your struggles lie. It's important to focus on what you may be finding difficult rather than spend valuable lesson time going over things you understand well. Exam technique is also key and I will always help my students with structuring answers and working efficiently. I also like to give my students tasks to do on their own outside of lessons to stimulate active learning, applying their knowledge, and retaining information. Practice always makes perfect and so the key to success would be lots of practice questions.
