Mehmet Korkmaz

Hi there, I am Mehmet Korkmaz. I have started English Language Teaching Department in 2018. I did my intership at Recep Tayyip Erdogan Middle School and Zafer Middle School in I have a TESOL Professional Certificate from Arizona State University. I have managed "Aydin Speaking Club" and the participants were of all ages and levels.

In addition to my interest in general world languages, especially in English, my desire to teach people was the thing that pushed me to this department and created an urge to build a career in this sector. During the academic year, I worked part-time at both Koza Course and Playground Nursery. Working here before my internship year helped me a lot to connect with the students, to find out which methods work in the lecture and which classes. Thanks to the private lessons I gave, I had the chance to see the types of students directly, and this is a treasure for a teacher, I think.

In all the places I have worked so far, I have come to the fore especially with my human relations, my smile, and my ability to lead in a cold-blooded way no matter what. The ability to solve instant problems in a quiet, calm, but fastest way possible has allowed me to work in a course even before I have completed an internship. Apart from teaching, my background as a bartender, barista, waitress and clown also creates a background that explains my human relationships.
