My lessons are designed especially for students who are struggling, lacking confidence, or feeling anxious about school and exams. Having completed my GCSEs recently, I fully understand the pressure, stress, and last-minute panic that can come with exams — and I use that experience to help students feel calmer and more in control.
I currently study at college and have hands-on experience supporting younger students through my role as a Wellbeing Ambassador, where I worked closely with students aged 11–12 to help them settle into high school and talk openly about their wellbeing. This has shaped my teaching style to be patient, encouraging, and confidence-building.
Each session is one hour long and follows a flexible but clear structure:
• A gentle warm-up to ease nerves
• Clear explanation of the main topic
• Guided practice questions to build confidence
• A recap to make sure everything is understood
I focus on concept-first learning, helping students truly understand topics rather than memorise answers. For students who need it, lessons can also be very exam-focused, with last-minute revision, exam strategies, and simple techniques to manage exam stress.
My teaching style adapts to the student — I can be calm and structured for nervous learners, friendly and chatty to put students at ease, or high-energy and motivating when confidence needs a boost. I’m particularly comfortable working with younger students, keeping them engaged and making learning feel safe and manageable.
Lessons can include:
• Practice questions during sessions
• Homework (optional and manageable)
• Exam preparation and revision strategies
• Support with confidence, stress, and study habits
• Feedback between lessons
Sessions are available after school and on weekends. I offer in-person tutoring for local students (depending on my schedule), with flexibility where possible.
My aim is not just to improve grades, but to help students feel more confident, less anxious, and more capable in their learning.
