About me

Hello, I am a full time maths tutor with a 1st in Mathematics from the Open University and over 5 years experience tutoring. I have experience teaching all ages, from 5 years old to A-level and adult learners.

Focus: Currently, I'm focusing on GCSE (all curriculums including international GCSE) and A-level (with a focus on Pearson's Edexcel curriculum), however I do teach other ages and areas including SATs, GCSE statistics and casual adult learners.

Availability: My evening and weekend schedules have been consistently full, however I'm branching out into daytime online teaching and look forward to meeting new students. I also have plenty of availability over the summer.

Structure: Each lesson is personalised, usually beginning with 'flashback' questions of previous skills, then the teaching and practise of a main focus, building up to exam style questions to end.

Experience: As well as the 5+ years tutoring experience, I previously worked as a cover teacher in a primary school. I have experience teaching students with a variety of additional needs including Anxiety, Autism, ADHD.

About me: I live in Leeds with my teenage son and partner. I've always been hard working, consistently achieving the top grades in every maths qualification sat. In my spare time I like to read, play board games and explore the outdoors.

Megan is a fantastic tutor! She is highly organised and quickly assessed the learning needs of my sons who required support with GCSE and A level Maths. Megan gets the most from each session and helped my sons to practice and embed difficult concepts. She was particularly good at helping them to prepare for exams and to understand assessments criteria and mark schemes in order for them to know how to approach exam questions. Megan’s subject knowledge is exceptional and she is highly skilled in teaching young people. She built a positive rapport and was very much liked by both of my sons. They both made lots of progress and ultimately did extremely well in their exams. Megan gave them the tools, practise and confidence to do their best and I would recommend her without hesitation.

Megan is an outstanding tutor who has made a significant difference to my daughter's maths over the last two years. She communicates brilliantly and quickly developed a rapport with my daughter and with us, keeping everyone informed about progress. My daughter thinks Megan is great, and is proud of her achievements in maths tests at school. She is ready to start her GCSE study in years 10 and 11. I recommend Megan highly without reservation.

My son is in year 9 and has had Megan as a maths tutor for a few years now. Megan is reliable, builds a good rapport with my son and he has progressed well since working with Megan. My son has SEN needs and Megan has been patient and understanding with him. She structures her sessions well and gives him praise where required. His confidence and results have improved as a result of the support from Megan. I would highly recommend.
