My lessons are friendly, relaxed and designed to make learning English enjoyable rather than stressful. I teach online and adapt each lesson to suit the child’s age, ability and individual learning needs.

I mainly work with children from Year 3 to Year 7, helping with English language, reading, spelling, grammar, vocabulary, comprehension and writing. I like to begin by finding out what the student already knows and what they would like help with. From there, I create lessons around their level and goals.

My lessons are interactive rather than simply talking at the student. I use questions, short activities, reading exercises, games and conversation to keep children involved and interested. I explain things clearly and simply, and I am happy to go over something in a different way if a child does not understand it the first time.

I have experience tutoring children through school and have also worked with children through babysitting. I was a prefect at secondary school and achieved my GCSEs and A Levels before progressing to university, where I am currently studying Law.

I am patient, approachable and encouraging, and I want every student to feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes. My aim is to build both English skills and confidence, so students leave each lesson feeling that they have learned something new and are proud of their progress I also provide personalised support between lessons where appropriate, helping students practise key skills and stay motivated as they work towards their individual learning goals- Megan
