Medha Vaithianadan

I have always been very academically focussed, achieving impressive grades throughout secondary school and sixth form. However, I have been teaching piano for over a year now and this has sparked my interest in teaching. I wish to combine my academic competence with my enjoyment in teaching so that I can allow more people to excel in their studies. I am very understanding and empathetic, and I'm also a quick learner who is able to gauge what learning styles work best with different people. I believe strongly in being guided by the student, as I recognise that different people prefer different learning formats and respond differently to teaching methods. I maintain a very warm tone and I would like to think that I am approachable, so I believe that people find it easy to seek help in me and I am always delighted to be of help to anyone. As someone who has been tutored in the past, I have taken great inspiration for the profound impact that these tutors have made on my academic journey. In my GCSEs I scored 10 grade 9s, and I have been predicted A*A*A in Biology, Chemistry and Mathematics. I believe that these grades show that I am somebody who works hard to strive for academic excellence, but also shows how having a tutor shaped my studies.
