My lessons are friendly, relaxed and completely tailored to each student. I want you to feel comfortable asking questions and discussing anything you find difficult, without feeling judged or overwhelmed.

At the beginning of our lessons, I like to understand your current level, what you are studying and which areas you would like the most support with. We can then create a plan around your goals, whether that is preparing for exams, improving your grades, catching up on difficult topics or working towards an assignment or dissertation.

Lessons can include breaking down complex theories and research, going through key studies, practising exam questions, developing essay structure, improving academic writing and discussing how to apply psychological and criminological concepts. For university students, I can also support with research methods, SPSS, data analysis and dissertation work, drawing on my own experience completing a Psychology with Criminology degree and professional placement year.

I like to make lessons interactive rather than simply talking through information. Depending on what works best for you, we can use discussion, examples, practice questions, quizzes, step-by-step explanations and feedback on your work.

I understand that everyone learns differently, so I’m happy to adapt the pace and format of lessons to suit you. My aim is not just to help you complete your work, but to help you genuinely understand the subject, develop stronger academic skills and feel more confident in your abilities.
