Maymun Iman

I am a fully qualified English teacher with three years of classroom experience teaching KS3 and KS4 students. During this time, I have taught a wide range of abilities and supported students in achieving strong outcomes in both Language and Literature.

My lessons are structured, engaging, and tailored to each student’s individual needs. I begin by identifying strengths and areas for development, then create focused sessions that build skills step by step. Each lesson typically includes a clear objective, modelled examples, guided practice, and independent tasks to build confidence and mastery.

For KS3 students, I focus on developing core reading, writing, and analytical skills. We work on comprehension, creative writing, grammar, vocabulary development, and building structured responses.

For KS4 students, lessons are more exam-focused. I provide targeted support with GCSE English Language and Literature, including:

Essay structure and exam technique
Analysing unseen texts
Shakespeare, 19th-century novels, modern texts, and poetry
Creative and transactional writing
