The methods I use to teach English would be visual. So I have multiple posters to help me through teaching children the English language. I also use books with visual support in order to teach. Also going through a range of different activities to keep the children stimulated and drawn into the subject as we all know.. children get distracted quite easily. I’d also be using a range of different notes that I’ll be making on my own accord in order to get my points across. As well as going over the English alphabet, phonetics, numbers, colours, shapes. I’m also passionate about space and the planets, different galaxies and stars. So as well as being able to teach English I could also potentially bring my extra knowledge of our solar system and the universe outside of the Milky Way. I believe that children need to have fun in order to learn. The only way I managed to teach my own daughter as well as family members was by making interactive activities for them to partake in, in order for their attention to be 100% on what I’ll be teaching. As well as making my class a fun environment I believe that children should feel free to express their own personalities which I will be doing during our classes. I would love for my kids that I teach to feel as though they’re in a fun learning environment where they are free to be their own person. The last point I would like to add is that I want the kids to feel comfortable in order to interact with myself as their tutor. :)
