About me:

Hi, I am a University student studying my third year of International business. I studied English Literature during my A-levels, achieving an A and I still have a strong interest in English to this day.
I am confident I can help other students to develop their capabilities in English as it can be challenging however with the right approach and technique it can become enjoyable for anyone!!

My approach:

I will focus on developing your ability in analysing texts by teaching you what to look out for as well as guiding you to have a nuanced perspective of texts which will earn you those higher grades. Another key focus will be developing your writing structure as being able to communicate your thought process and understanding to the examiner in a clear and sophisticated manner is a crucial skill. My teaching will therefore be structured around us analysing texts together as well as independently, alongside essay planning that will develop your creativity and writing skills. I will assess your independent work according to grade descriptors of your board and give you tailored notes to maximise your skills. The independent work you do is necessary in solidifying your skills and making it feel more natural to you. By having a greater understanding of what is exactly required of you, you will be able to tackle assessments more effortlessly and produce high quality work.

Overall, my goal is to provide you with the tactics and skills that will make English Literature feel interesting and enjoyable while also helping you to achieve grades that you can feel proud of.
