Max Gershinson

Currently I work self-employed in music however I have lots of prior experience in teaching and am looking to put this to more use! I am passionate about helping people to achieve their potential and get to where they want to be with their language skills.

I am PGCE qualified in modern languages and have taught in schools, small groups and one-to-one. My involvement in TEFL dates back to my university degree when I worked as an English Language Assistant in France during my year abroad taught. I later taught EFL in whilst living in Montpellier after university, honing my skills with a range of ages and levels. In addition I have experience working as a Learning Support Assistant at a secondary school in London, working one-to-one with special needs students across a range of academic subjects and extra curricular activities.

These experiences combined allowed me to gain a deep understanding of both teaching techniques and the role of the teacher, as well as methods of assessment and accommodating to different learning needs. I was exposed to a number of high paced environments in which interpersonal skills and time management were vital, and I greatly enhanced my leadership skills.

My EFL teaching is fully catered to your current ability as well as your learning preferences. It will cover speaking, listening, reading, writing and grammar. Each lesson is usually 1 hour but can be longer if preferred. I am happy to travel or teach online and all ages, levels and backgrounds welcome.
