Matthew Torvenyi

My English lessons are designed to be engaging, supportive, and practical, helping young learners build confidence while developing essential language skills. I teach English as a foreign language to primary school children and can also work with nursery and secondary students. My aim is to create a positive and encouraging environment where students feel comfortable speaking English and learning from their mistakes.

I hold GCSE qualifications in English (6–6), and my experience working in a restaurant and completing school work experience in accounting has strengthened my communication skills, patience, and ability to explain ideas clearly. These experiences have helped me adapt my teaching style to suit different learners.

My lessons are flexible and varied, as I believe children learn best when lessons are interactive and enjoyable. A typical lesson includes engaging discussions in English, guided writing practice, vocabulary activities, and practical exercises that encourage active participation. Homework may be given occasionally to help reinforce learning.

What sets me apart as a teacher is the level of support and dedication I offer my students. I am caring, hardworking, and patient, and I never give up on learners who may find English challenging. I am committed to helping every student progress at their own pace, making lessons both effective and enjoyable.
