With over 15 years of experience in primary education, I understand the unique needs of each child preparing for their KS2 SATs. My tutoring sessions in Maths and English are calm, supportive, and tailored specifically to the learner.

To begin, I carry out a baseline assessment to get a clear picture of your child’s current level of understanding and confidence. This helps identify any tricky areas or gaps in knowledge, so I can plan lessons that focus on what they need most.

Each session is structured but flexible, starting with a quick warm-up to revisit previous learning, followed by targeted teaching and guided practice. We’ll work through examples together, especially in areas your child finds challenging – whether that’s fractions and word problems in Maths or grammar, punctuation and comprehension skills in English.

I use a range of strategies to explain tricky concepts clearly and break things down into manageable steps. I always aim to build your child’s confidence and encourage them to take ownership of their learning. Progress is regularly reviewed and I keep parents updated with clear feedback and practical advice for support at home.
