Matthew John Gunn

Hello, my name is Matthew J Gunn. I'm a commissioned screenwriter and published author. I started tutoring creative writing for screenplays and novels twenty years ago. I run both individual lessons and group workshops for ANYONE of any age - students at universities, colleges, film schools, individuals online, or one-to-one in person. You don’t need to be a student to have a lesson you just need to have an idea that you want to write or have written and need help with.

My lessons can be tailored to all levels - MA, Degree, A Level, GSCE, or adult and young workshops. They are for anyone who wants help or guidance to ignite their creative flair and ambition in writing and film-making.

As a writer I have had film screenplays produced and distributed worldwide, alongside award nominations in LA and London. Stage plays I’ve written have been performed at venues including Rhoda McGraw, New Victoria, and London Courtyard. As an author I have four fiction books published and recently a book on film history called Noir, Nihilism, and Crime, The Forgotten Films.
