I like to use a mixture of physical written exercises and verbal reasoning to get to the heart of the content I am teaching. I think that when studying literature, meaning and social behaviour, the most effective way to learn something is through conversation; it is one thing to score high on a worksheet, but I have found that when students talk through their thought process they engage with their work on a deeper level.
My lessons always start from a place of mutual respect - while I am your teacher, I am also deeply invested in your learning and enjoyment of the subject. This means that there are no stupid questions, and no expectations for students to learn 'the right way'. I look forward to working with you to find the methods that best help you learn and grow.
I am a third year university student myself, so I know the burden of education and the skills needed to excel within it. Alongside teaching lesson content, I will help you develop transferable skills like time management, organisation and academic standards. This has proven especially helpful for the A level students I have worked with, who have told me that they felt more prepared for higher education after studying with me.
Thank you for taking the time to look through my profile. I look forward to working with you!
