Matan Ashkenazy

I'm a London-based photographic artist and educator with over a decade of experience working across fine art, large-format photography, and visual culture. I hold an MA in Photography from the Royal College of Art, and I’ve taught photography in academic settings as well as one-to-one, focusing on both technical skills and critical engagement with the medium.

My practice spans analogue and digital photography, photographic archiving, and exhibition-making, with particular attention to landscape, architecture, and politics. I’m passionate about helping others develop a personal and meaningful photographic voice, whether they are just beginning or looking to deepen their understanding of the medium. I offer supportive, structured learning that can be adapted to each student’s pace and interests—be it image-making, project development, portfolio preparation, or theory.

I enjoy working with learners of all ages and backgrounds and would be excited to support students through FindTutors in building confidence, creativity, and technical skill in photography.
