My teaching method varies depending on the subject being tackled, and therefore can be broken down into two main strategies:

Mathematics- In this subject, one-to-one joint problem solving with the student is the most effective. I will first introduce to you the basics of the mathematical concept, and then help you along the way in solving a few exercises. As you progress in your learning, less aid will be provided during the solving process until you have mastered the concept. Mathematics requires diligent repetition to ensure that lessons remained engrained for when you take your exam, so expect several exercises to be tackled during each lesson. When first introducing you to the concept, I will use simple and easily digestible examples, consistently confirming with you on whether you are following along. Most importantly, I will always encourage the student to ask questions if they are lost.

History- The challenge with learning history is how vast it is, and its often difficult to determine what information you actually need to retain. Topics will be introduced through engaging stories that will remain memorable, and certain tricks I present will help the student to recall important years or statistics you need to remember. For essay-writing, questions will be posed to you, and instead of exhaustibly writing down an essay every time, I will instead conversate with you to determine what structure and points you would approach with. Only once you have mastered the ability to think of an essay plan quickly and effectively, I will ask you to write the essay for me in your own time, which I will review, correct, and provide constructive criticism for during a call.
