Maryam Ali

My lessons are interactive, creative, and tailored to each student’s individual needs. I mainly teach Mathematics and have over ten years of teaching experience, as well as experience teaching Art and Religious Studies. I also provide support in English and Science for beginners and younger learners.

Lesson content is always adapted to the subject, the student’s level, and their specific needs or goals. While lessons are clearly structured, they remain flexible, allowing time to revisit and reinforce concepts as often as needed. I focus on clear explanations and active student involvement, encouraging learners to ask questions, think aloud, and engage with the material rather than passively absorb it. Where relevant, I incorporate creativity and discussion to keep students engaged and motivated.

The dynamic of my lessons is supportive and student-led. I work at the learner’s pace, repeating and explaining concepts until they feel confident and secure in their understanding. Mistakes are treated as a natural and important part of learning, helping students build confidence and develop independence.

With a strong emphasis on patience, clarity, and engagement, my aim is to create a positive learning environment where students feel comfortable, motivated, and supported in making steady progress.

I offer both online lessons and in-person teaching, depending on location and availability.
