I worked for 10 weeks at the new scuola primaria in Fermignano in Le Marche in central Italy from January to March in 2024 - I taught the students songs, poems, rhymes and a rap about London. They performed to great acclaim for their friends and family in two shows at the end of the 10 week period.

I taught students for the Shakespeare Week at Brighton Girls for three years. My brief was to get the girls on their feet and we worked on scenes from Macbeth and A Midsummer Night's Dream.

I have been a professional actor for 40 years and have worked at NT, RSC, in the West End, in rep theatres, in fringe and community companies as well as on TV and BBC Radio. I teach when I have no acting work.

I use songs, poems, games, Shakespeare and theatre in schools.

I consider the most important aspect of learning is having fun because this helps the learning process.
Sharing a good time in the classroom is essential to absorbing information.
If students leave at the end of a lesson with their eyes shining, I know I've hit the mark and done a good job.

I am a co founder of The Chronicle Theatre Company where you can see reviews of some of my teaching work in UK and Italian schools and at Urbino university in central Italy.

We are a UK registered charity run by a board of Trustees and Judi Dench, Ralph Fiennes and Rachel Treweek are our patrons.
