Lessons for GCSE last typically an hour and focus on the individual needs of the students. We would spend time analysing the texts and the skills needed to adequately use our analysis in an essay to achieve top bands/higher level grades. We would work through exemplar answers together to see what features a student should include in their own writing. Studying at a grammar school allowed me to develop experience in teaching younger years whilst receiving excellent quality lessons and tips from my own teachers that I can now pass down. Lessons can be for GCSE students from year 9- year 11 at any grade level.
