I am a qualified secondary school teacher offering Maths tuition for GCSE students. I hold a Master’s degree in Mathematics and have a genuine love for the subject, which I enjoy passing on to my students. I am highly confident in maths and specialise in breaking down difficult topics into simple, clear steps, helping students see that maths can be fun and easy to understand.
My teaching approach is friendly, patient, and encouraging. I believe that many students struggle with maths not because they aren’t capable, but because they lack confidence or have had negative experiences in the past. One of my main goals is to change that mindset. I create a relaxed learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and learning at their own pace.
Lessons are carefully tailored to each student’s needs and learning style. I use a variety of teaching methods, including clear explanations, worked examples, visual representations, step-by-step problem solving, and plenty of guided and independent practice. I focus on building strong foundations, while also developing exam technique through regular practice with GCSE-style questions. This helps students not only understand the maths, but also know how to apply it confidently in exams.
I have experience teaching students of all abilities, from those who find maths challenging to high-achieving students aiming for the top GCSE grades. Whether a student needs extra support, revision, or a confidence boost, I adapt my teaching to help them make real progress.
My aim is for students to leave each lesson feeling more confident, motivated, and positive about maths — and fully prepared to achieve their best possible results at GCSE.
