Are you completely new to English? Maybe you can already hold a conversation, but want to speak more naturally and confidently? Or perhaps you need English for a particular part of your life, like work, travel or everyday situations?

Hi, I’m Marwo! I’m a TEFL-certified English tutor based in London, and I’d love to help you get to where you want to be with your English.

No two students are the same, so no two lessons need to be the same either. We can work on speaking and pronunciation, build your vocabulary, go back to grammar you’ve never quite understood, or simply spend more time actually using the English you already know.

I particularly enjoy teaching functional English. For example, if you’re travelling, we might practise checking into a hotel, asking for directions or ordering at a restaurant. If you need English for work, we can focus on introducing yourself, speaking to colleagues or expressing your ideas clearly. We’ll take the vocabulary and grammar you need and actually put it into practice.

I’m naturally patient and encouraging, so please don’t worry about getting everything right. Making mistakes is part of learning, and I want you to feel comfortable asking questions and trying again.

A little about me: I have a 120-hour TEFL qualification as well as a BA (Hons) degree in Marketing & Advertising. My TEFL training covered lesson planning, grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation and teaching speaking, listening, reading and writing.

Most importantly, I want you to leave each lesson feeling like your English is becoming a little easier to use. We’ll work at your pace, focus on what matters to you and build from there.
