My lessons are calm, supportive, and structured, with one-to-one teaching tailored to each student’s individual needs and learning style. I aim to create a positive and encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and developing confidence in their abilities.
Lessons are typically structured with a clear focus for each session. I begin by assessing prior knowledge and identifying any areas of difficulty, before breaking topics down into simple, manageable steps. For Psychology, this includes understanding key concepts, theories, and studies, as well as developing strong exam technique and evaluation skills. For GCSE Maths and Science, I focus on step-by-step problem solving, building core knowledge, and applying methods confidently to exam-style questions.
Sessions are interactive and exam-focused, combining clear explanations, guided practice, and regular opportunities for students to apply what they have learned. I use past paper questions, worked examples, and structured feedback to help students improve accuracy, exam technique, and time management.
I have previous experience tutoring GCSE and college-level students, alongside a strong academic background in psychology and science and professional experience working with young people. This allows me to adapt my teaching style, support students who may feel anxious or lack confidence, and ensure lessons are both effective and engaging.
My goal is not only to improve grades, but also to help students feel confident, motivated, and prepared for their exams.
