I am currently a second year Chemical Engineering student at University of Birmingham with a strong academic background in mathematics and science. I achieved a grade 9 in GCSE Mathematics and a A* in A-level Mathematics. During my A-level studies, I successfully tutored two GCSE Mathematics students, helping them achieve significant improvements in their grades through support and effective teaching strategies.

My approach to tutoring focuses on building confidence and understanding through clear, step by step worked examples, followed by targeted practice questions to reinforce key concepts. This structured method was highly effective throughout my own GCSEs, A-levels, and continues to support my success at university.

Lessons are delivered online using a video call alongside a shared collaborative document. This interactive setup allows students to actively engage with the material, work through problems in real time, and receive immediate feedback.

I understand that every student learns differently, so I adapt my teaching style to suit each individual's needs, pace, and learning preferences. Whether a student is aiming to improve their confidence with core mathematical concepts, prepare for exams, or achieve top grades, I provide personalised support to help them reach their goals. I place a strong emphasis on developing problem solving skills and encouraging independent thinking, ensuring that students not only learn how to answer questions but also understand the reasoning behind each method. My aim is to make lessons approachable, enjoyable, and productive, helping students build both knowledge and confidence over time.
