As a student that has four tutors since being in year 7 all the way until I finished my Gcse in year 11, in different subjects, I have learnt what works well for me under different circumstances, and what has not. I have instructed my friends and helped them with their exams. I have learnt repetitive learning is the best way of retaining information and overcoming the 'learning curve'. However alternative methods can be explored into that will suit your child or personal needs. Lessons with me would look at a lower price range than others, however amazing results. We would begin with a starter that would review previous lesson content to determine how much information was remembered, whilst filling out worksheets, quizzes, and flashcards. Limited homework will be given and expected to be completed on time for the next lesson, this ensure standards, punctuality, and preparation intime for our next lesson. I will never yell at students, as I believe that to be an ineffective and unstainable method of teaching, and can discourage children from trying or enjoying the subjects. However, I also understand I am not here to be their friend, so a firm and understanding approach will be taken whilst a professional environmental will be maintained. I am available weekends, evenings, all of Friday and Tuesdays, and this can be in person or online depending on suitability and availability.
