Why I Am an Excellent English Teacher
I believe I would be an excellent English teacher because I bring together strong communication skills, empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for helping people learn and develop. I hold a 150-hour Advanced TEFL/TESOL qualification, which I completed with a 96% pass rate, as well as additional TEFL training in teaching methods and classroom management.
My background in psychology and counselling has given me valuable skills that I can apply directly to teaching. I understand that every student learns differently and may have different levels of confidence, motivation, and communication ability. My experience supporting people through personal challenges has taught me to listen carefully, communicate clearly, remain patient, and create a safe and non-judgmental environment where individuals feel comfortable making mistakes and asking questions.
I am particularly passionate about helping students build confidence in their English communication skills. I can adapt my approach to suit different learning styles and abilities while encouraging students to participate actively and develop their skills at their own pace.
I also bring strong teamwork, problem-solving, critical-thinking, empathy, and compassion skills to the classroom. My leadership experience has further strengthened my ability to work with people from different backgrounds and support their development.
As an English teacher, my goal is not only to teach English effectively, but also to help students feel confident, motivated, and capable of communicating successfully in English.
