About you:
Hi, I am a secondary school teacher with years of previous experience in English. Prior to teaching full time, I tutored students for tutoring companies and had my own tutoring business (my students achieved high results which allowed them to enter selective entry schools, universities and meet their desired course requirements). I have a passion for writing and enjoy writing and performing stories and poetry in my own time.

Experience:
This is my third year as a full time English teacher in the UK, prior to this I was an English tutor for three years. I majored in English in my Bachelor's degree, I have a Master of Teaching (literature specialist) and I have worked for many tutoring companies and had my own tutoring business in Australia. I have also taught English in an International School for 1 year and have experience teaching people from all over the world. I have taught all ages from small children, to primary and secondary age as well as adults.

Approach:
My diverse training and experiences allow me to adopt and change my approach as required. Our first meeting will be a free consultation session where we can discuss my services and future sessions as well as try a trial lesson. I am client focused and base my practice on client needs. Some students of English will require a 'hands on' approach with lots of help, models, examples, deconstruction, analysis and explanation (all of which I will provide.) Stronger students will be looking for crafted activities and advice that will be tailor made to achieve a specific goal (whether that is a grade, to pass a test or achieve a certain result or level in English).
