I have over 20 years teaching experience in a variety of environments. I am flexible to needs of students but do like to engage in discussion so I can ensure understanding of subject. Learning should be enjoyable but expectations should be high.
I use a variety of resources in my teaching, including PowerPoints, videos, current affairs, and personal experience.
Students will produce written work, including short quick exercises and longer written pieces. They will engage in project work and presentations and be expected to talk about their personal response to topics and reading material.
Studying Literature is invaluable in broadening our outlook on life. Great books deepen our understanding of the world and events on a personal and global level.
Good achievement in the study of English has a beneficial effect on all areas of studying. Telling stories is fundamental to all forms of communication and this is also the case with written work for the vast majority of subjects. Learn how to craft written and oral communication so that your listeners and readers become more fully engaged with what you have to say.
