I will tailor my approach to your requirements, as everyone is different. I am here to help and support you and we'll work at your speed and meet your needs.

I take a structured approach to preparation for examinations but aim to bring out the fun in learning English, both as a language and in exploring different types of literature.

I hold a Bachelor of Education (Honours) in English, with Qualified Teacher Status in the UK. I also hold a Teacher of English as a Foreign Language Certificate (TEFL) and have a Masters (MA) in Literature, with a Doctorate (PhD) in English Literature pending for 2025.

With experience as a classroom teacher from Primary to Senior Secondary schools and as an education and training officer in the Royal Air Force, I have the background and skills needed to successfully teach children, young adults and more senior people in their homes or in the workplace.

I am happy to provide materials in a range of formats, from paper-based learning to slide presentations in MS PowerPoint and can hold remote sessions using Zoom or MS Teams - whichever works for you!

I understand the challenges of distance learning, as I did my Masters in English Literature remotely, so I can support you if you're new to this way of learning.

If you just want to improve your spoken English to communicate with others we can do that. If you are preparing for an A Level and need help with a set text then I can help. I can also help with Business English, especially in the workplace.
