I've spent most of my career training and teaching people to understand and operate complex systems and machinery. As I am American with studies in English literature and grammar, my grasp of the English language would be considered more than average. Teaching and training requires a great deal of patience at times and I possess that skill. Understanding people from non English speaking countries as I have visited, Japan Malaysia and the Philippines so this has provided me with a certain amount of skill. My goal is to help people not only speak. but to comprehend English. People who are not English speaking, I have found do not always understand sarcasm or slang or other circumstances when it comes to the English language. I've found that English can be very confusing to them. I would hope to give confidence and understanding to any of my students. I'm prepared to take what ever measures are necessary to see people excel and be confident using the English language. Whatever methods are successful for each student as you know, not all methods work for everyone. with that being said, depending on each students needs and abilities their tutoring will need to be customized to some degree and I believe that I can accommodate them in that regard. I'm sure that my performance will be reviewed by my students and I would hope that they all can gain an advantage from speaking and learning with me.
