My cooking lessons are designed to be fun, interactive, and beginner-friendly while building confidence in the kitchen. I believe cooking should be exciting, not intimidating, and my goal is to help students develop a genuine passion for cooking just as I have.
With over 7 years of experience working as a chief cook onboard marine cargo vessels and a background in culinary arts, I have experience preparing different cuisines and adapting recipes and techniques in fast-paced environments. This has taught me discipline, creativity, and practical cooking skills that I bring into every lesson.
My lessons usually start from the basics—kitchen safety, proper knife handling, ingredient knowledge, cooking techniques, and essential kitchen skills. As students progress, we move into different cuisines, meal preparation, flavor combinations, plating, and more advanced techniques depending on their goals.
I keep my classes interactive and hands-on. I encourage students to ask questions, cook along with me, and learn through practice rather than memorization. Every lesson is adjusted based on the student’s experience level, pace, and interests to keep learning enjoyable and motivating.
Most importantly, I want my students to finish each lesson feeling excited to cook, confident in their abilities, and inspired to continue learning beyond our classes.
