I begin by identifying their current level and specific areas of weakness, whether that is analysing language and structure, evaluating effectively, understanding question requirements, or developing creative and transactional writing skills.

Students will complete targeted practice using Paper 1 and Paper 2 questions, as well as any work they are given in school. I guide them through how to approach each question step by step, focusing on clear structure, relevant techniques, and how to meet the mark scheme.

A key part of my teaching is strict and detailed marking, ensuring students understand exactly where they are losing marks and how to improve. I also teach timing strategies to help students manage exam pressure and perform efficiently.
