My lessons are structured, supportive, and tailored to each student’s individual needs. At the start, I assess the student’s current level and learning style so that lessons are targeted and effective rather than generic.
During my initial meet I do a mini test to see the grades and we work from there. I all so ask the student what his/her goals are and work with them.
Each session typically includes:
A clear explanation of key concepts using simple, relatable examples
Guided practice to check understanding
Exam-style questions to develop technique and confidence
Regular feedback and recap to reinforce learning
Homework is given.
I don't allow mobile phones during the lesson, my laptop is used if we need some internet.
I place a strong emphasis on building solid subject foundations, as well as exam technique and problem-solving skills, helping students not only understand the content but apply it successfully in assessments. Lessons are interactive, encouraging students to ask questions and actively engage rather than passively listen.
With over three years of private tutoring experience and previous classroom teaching experience in a school setting, I am familiar with curriculum requirements, exam board expectations, and common student challenges. I adapt my teaching pace and style to suit each learner, whether they need support building confidence, catching up, or aiming for top grades.
My goal is to create a positive and motivating learning environment where students feel confident, supported, and capable of achieving their academic goals.
