Marie Claire Bajada

I am Marie Claire from Malta and I am an English teacher. I have a teaching experience of 4 years. I thought in several British and American International Schools in Iraq and Turkey respectively. Furthermore, I teach online. I tailor make the lessons according to the student's needs and wishes. For young kids, I design very interactive lessons, with lots of visuals, communication, songs and games as I believe that children learn best through play. I have also experience teaching business English to students in companies where the focus was on teaching them for example how to deliver a power point presentation or how to prepare themselves to answer questions in a job interview.

Furthermore, I have speaking lessons where I chose a topic per lesson. I prepare questions and then ask them to the students They would need to answer and in this way the students will become more fluent in speaking. I also teach reading and writing to young kids starting from teaching them CVC words using mainly the Jolly Phonics system. Moreover, I put emphasis also on sight words and in this way the students will have all the tools needed to start reading, forming letters and eventually also forming sentences.

I also give a lot of importance to listening comprehensions and reading comprehensions. This is very important for the students to grasp the language and have a full understanding of it. The next step then would be writing so that the students will get all the faculties of the language.
