With a solid background in engineering and professional experience as a software developer, I bring a logical and practical approach to teaching maths. I understand how important it is for students to feel supported and confident, so my lessons are clear, engaging, and tailored to each individual’s needs.

I believe that everyone can succeed in maths — whether you’re learning the basics, preparing for GCSEs, or looking to strengthen your skills at any level up to GCSE. My aim is to help students develop not only problem-solving skills but also a positive mindset towards the subject.

I create a calm, focused learning space where questions are encouraged and progress is celebrated. Each lesson is thoughtfully planned to balance explanation, practice, and review — making sure students build a strong foundation at their own pace.

I make maths accessible and enjoyable by breaking down complex ideas into simple steps, using clear explanations, interactive problem-solving, and real-life examples. I encourage questions and create a supportive space where students feel confident to learn from mistakes. Lessons are tailored to each student’s strengths and needs, with regular assessments to track progress and adjust the pace.

Typical Length of a Lesson:

Each lesson usually lasts 1 hour. This allows enough time to cover new topics thoroughly, review previous work, and practise questions without overwhelming the student.

Qualifications and Experience:

I am a former software engineer with a strong foundation in maths.
I have experience teaching maths to a variety of students in London, helping them build confidence and improve their grades through personalised tutoring.

Who the Lessons Are For:

My lessons are designed for all ages including KS1, KS2, KS3 and GCSE preparation.

Whether students are struggling with certain topics or aiming for top grades, I adapt my teaching style to meet their individual goals.

I wasn’t studying at all before, and honestly didn’t think I could stay focused. But this tutor completely turned things around for me. They didn’t just teach – they motivated me. They found ways to make the lessons engaging and never gave up on pushing me to try my best. Because of them, I actually started studying and putting in real effort. I’ve seen a huge improvement, not just in my grades, but in how I feel about learning. Can’t thank them enough – 100% recommend to anyone who needs that extra push!
